V Canto is inspired by the most beautiful love story ever written, the love for true origins, for deep roots and for the land of one’s birth. In fact, for over 700 years, the Terenzi family has lived near the castle of Gradara, one of the most suggestive castles in Italy. Even the supreme Dante Alighieri dedicated to this magical place a song of his Comedy, the song of Paolo and Francesca, immortal figures sculpted by immortal verses.

Our creations are born of these views and these verses. The Blue collection encapsulates poetry and medieval history made of passion and love, sins and virtues, vices and humanity. With the Red & Green collection, Paolo and Tiziana’s art is enriched with new stories inspired by the figure of Lucrethia Borgia, resident and proud queen of the Castle of V Canto. Finally, the Foglie d’Amore collection, made with the ancient technique of gold and silver leaf, applied by hand to make each bottle a unique and inimitable creation.

Hemlock is one of the deadliest potions known to man and when dosed correctly has a hypnotic effect that controls the hearts and minds of men. Lucrethia was skilled in creating these fatal concoctions, bewitching and controlling whomever she wished. This recipe, which we rediscovered, was the inspiration for this perfume extract with hypnotic, magnetic power. From the first waft, this creation slips smoothly into the meanders of our emotions, drawing them into a dreamlike state.

The fragrance opens on notes of orange, clementine and bergamot, softly swathed in green leaves kissed by the morning dew. The bouquet of sun-kissed Sicilian citrus fruits adds complex nuances to the fragrance on a layer of regal elegance woven from Damask rose absolute and musk rose embracing tenderly on a bed of Mediterranean coriander and cedar of Lebanon.

The complex potion has its roots in the tempting sweetness of Tahitian vanilla pods and Madagascan flowers, accentuated and amplified by the subtle intensity of musk.
