Marina Barcenilla founded The Perfume Garden, an artisanal perfumery in the West Country. As Founder and Perfumer, she immersed herself in the timeless craftsmanship of perfumery, seeking rare essences from around the world and hand-blending fragrances in her studio, surrounded by nature.

The Perfume Garden quickly blossomed into a recognized fragrance house in the industry. Marina Barcenilla's commitment to authenticity and her deep connection with nature set the stage for a captivating narrative in each perfume.

In 2016, Marina Barcenilla achieved a notable milestone by receiving the FiFi UK Award for Best New Independent Perfume with India. This achievement marked the beginning of a new phase in her journey, leading to the transformation of The Perfume Garden into MB Parfums, always maintaining the ethos of creating exceptional fragrances with natural ingredients.

Success continued in 2017 with Patchouli Clouds winning the Beauty Shortlist Award. Marina Barcenilla Parfums also earned the Eluxe Award for Best Natural Perfume Brand in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, it was a finalist in the 2018 UK FiFi Awards in the Perfume Extraordinaire category with the fragrance "Out of This World," created for her second brand, AromAtom, which is also available at Daring Light.
