Jorum Studio was established in 2010 by Scottish perfumer Euan McCall who works under the pseudonym Jorum Laboratories and has formulated fragrances for cult brands.

A symphony of tender greens and glowing petals marks the earth’s rebirth. Vernus doesn’t just evoke the season—it embodies it. It is that fleeting moment when sunlight filters through bare branches and falls upon a tapestry of wildflowers, still damp with morning dew. A fragrance that smells of renewal, of childhood under shifting skies, of aimless strolls through rows of untamed narcissus.

The opening notes bloom like the first buds: floral petitgrain, ripe quince, marigold, and sunflower, bathed in a soft and jubilant light. Magnolias unfold upon contact with the skin, while narcissus and jasmine offer a profound, natural sweetness—never artificial.

As it evolves, Vernus settles into a base reminiscent of the fields that border the woods: freshly cut hay, hickory wood, and a touch of paprika that warms like sunlight on the nape. There’s a whisper of the wild in its final trail, like the hush of a meadow before summer’s arrival.

Inspired by childhood memories among Scottish landscapes and teenage travels through France, this creation captures the magic of discovering the world through scent. Vernus is a return to the heart of spring, when everything feels possible and every aroma is a new beginning.
