.U.M.B.R.E. by Adi Ale Van, light in the darkness. Inspired by the anti-communist resistance in the Carpathian Mountains.
Adi ale Van is an artistic perfume brand from Romania.
Founded in 2021 by the artist Adi ale Van, in limited series.
Everything is handmade, with perfect attention to detail. The artist’s inspiration comes from the old Romanian traditions, from the old memories of his family, from his people lost in the mists of time.
The inspiration for the perfume, but especially the design of the bottle and the box, comes from the anti-communist resistance of the Romanian partisans hiding in the Muscel area in the Carpathian Mountains in Romania in 1948-1960, and their faith in God, hence the slogan “extract of hope”.
Each bottle and each box are unique, handmade in Romania, and the imperfections add value to each of them, and reaffirm the pure craftsmanship.
Top notes: davana and animal accord.
Heart notes: benzoin, cypriol and coffee.
Base notes: myrrh and tobacco.

I know every bottle is unique, but I wish that my bottle was a bit more similar to the image above. The rough part was covering less of the glass on the bottle I got. The more the glass shows, the “lesser” the magic (in my opinion). However the scent is just as expected: dark and warm, as if it was from a dark fantasy world.
