Description
Sirenide is part of Force Majeure, the third collection by BeauFort London, a series that explores the human struggle against uncontrollable forces such as nature and fate. This particular fragrance pays tribute to a place where the ocean reigns supreme, and human resilience is written in salt and wind.
Sirenide is the most unsettling and visceral tale of Force Majeure, the collection that explores humanity’s struggle against uncontrollable forces such as nature or destiny. Inspired by the ancient myths of selkies in the remote Orkney Islands, this fragrance plunges into the abyss where power changes hands: the victim ceases to be one, the prey becomes the hunter, and the sea claims what was never meant to be taken.
In the perpetual mists of the Orkney archipelago, where the wind cuts the skin and the sea whispers forgotten prayers, the selkies dwell: shapeshifting beings who abandon their seal form to walk among humans. In old legends, humans would steal their skins and condemn them to captivity. But in this story, destiny is rewritten.
The selkie discovers the outrage: her tanned skin, desecrated, transformed into a trophy. Then the water turns to venom. She reclaims what is hers and returns to the abyss from which she should never have emerged.
Sirenide is that silent scream embodied in a scent. A haunting and powerful composition, it unfolds like a dark tide upon the skin. It does not caress: it wounds, seduces, and drags.
The work bears the signature of Euan McCall, a perfumer renowned for his mastery at Jorum Studio and Senyokö — both available at Daring Light — whose creations evoke landscapes and emotions with unmistakable sensitivity. His vision endows Sirenide with a complex, deeply narrative soul, in which each accord tells a fragment of the myth.
Top notes: blue flag iris, water lily, bitter almond, and aniseed
Heart notes: water lily and pink lotus
Base notes: ambergris, Atlas cedar, woodruff, and pinseal

Another wonderful fragrance from Beaufort… It reminds me of the smell of brand new plastic dolls, with a hint of synthetic but sweet at the same time. The truth is that they are really outdoing themselves with this new collection.
