Description
Hiram Green is a self-taught Canadian perfumer who works exclusively with natural ingredients. His perfumes are easily distinguishable by their intensity, opulence and expressiveness.
Shangri La is a fragrance that was discontinued in 2018. Due to the insistent interest of many of Hiram Green’s customers and perfume enthusiasts, in 2022, it was relaunched with slight improvements, hardly distinguishable to untrained perfumery noses.
Conceived as a follow-up to Moon Bloom, it was inspired by and named after the fictional land described in James Hilton’s 1933 novel Lost Horizon.
Hilton describes Shangri La as a mythological Himalayan utopia, an earthly paradise isolated from the rest of the world where its inhabitants are virtually immortal. Hiram captured the beauty and purity of Shangri La in a contemporary interpretation of a classic Chypre perfume.
Shangri La is a luminous, airy perfume with a lush, exotic character. The fragrance opens with a strong burst of lemon, orange and bergamot that is followed by a rich bouquet of peach, jasmine, lily, rose, cinnamon and warm spices. This opulent heart is anchored by an earthy base of vetiver and oakmoss.
Olfactory notes: lemon, orange, bergamot, peach, jasmine, rose, lily, cinnamon, warm spices, vetiver and oakmoss.
