V Canto is inspired by the most beautiful love story ever written, the love for true origins, for deep roots and for the land of one’s birth. In fact, for over 700 years, the Terenzi family has lived near the castle of Gradara, one of the most suggestive castles in Italy. Even the supreme Dante Alighieri dedicated to this magical place a song of his Comedy, the song of Paolo and Francesca, immortal figures sculpted by immortal verses.

Our creations are born of these views and these verses. The Blue collection encapsulates poetry and medieval history made of passion and love, sins and virtues, vices and humanity. With the Red & Green collection, Paolo and Tiziana’s art is enriched with new stories inspired by the figure of Lucrethia Borgia, resident and proud queen of the Castle of V Canto. Finally, the Foglie d’Amore collection, made with the ancient technique of gold and silver leaf, applied by hand to make each bottle a unique and inimitable creation.

Ricinus, the castor oil plant, is a plant of extraordinary beauty which, like all the most beautiful things, conceals a hidden and fatal soul. This marvellous, ornamental plant, full of variegated colours and attractive fruits, capable of blooming the whole year round, was used by Lucrezia to decorate her gardens, that acted above all as secret refuges for its fearsome poison, masterfully hidden in the seeds of their attractive fruits.

The fatal beauty of the plant was an inspiration for the secret plans of Lucrezia, who particularly loved this powerful poison because it left no way out for her victims. Even today no effective antidote for this poison has been found, just as there is no effective defense against the persuasive force of this precious fragrance that opens with the sweet and bitter fruity notes of energetic Sicilian bergamot and orange, with the sweetness of peach and red plum.

The head notes echo powerfully, dancing sweetly on a heart of opulent flowers, on which emerges precious Jasmine embraced with white Iris and Peony chastised by the dreamlike dance of orange blossom. The entire creation is strongly supported by precious exotic woods, where the echo of Patchouli and Cambodian Oud stand out, expertly softened by the delicacy of Sandalwood and the freshness of Oak Moss.

The narcotic potion is among the most fatal of the collection, enclosed in a precious creation that will leave no escape for those who smell it and wish to seduce.
