Description
The focal point for the creations of Beaufort London is the naval history of Great Britain; the real part and an imagined and embellished part. Always with a dark and strange side, which is the fascinating thing about Beaufort London.
Fathom: A unit of length equal to six feet, chiefly used in reference to the depth of water.
Full fathom five thy father lies; of his bones are coral made, those are pearls that were his eyes, nothing of him that doth fade, but doth suffer a sea-change. Into something rich and strange.
Ariels Song
Drawing inspiration from The Tempest (in which Shakespeare evokes images of violent weather, shipwrecks and magical islands), the main theme of “Fathom V” is one of the lines taken from the play’s “Ariel’s Song”.
The eternally changing state of the sea, constantly fluctuating between calm and wild, is the starting point for this fragrance, explored through the use of seemingly contradictory raw materials in high concentrations.
Salt meets earth, bright herbs mingle with dark mosses, floral notes meet dark, intense spices and pepper.
A fragrance for the intrepid that defies preconceived notions of what “aquatic” really means…
And if that wasn’t enough, in 2017 it won the award for “Best Independent Fragrance” at the Art and Olfaction Awards, held in Berlin. And we can assure you that it is a very rigorous and demanding process.
Powerful Eau de Parfum with 30% perfume concentration.
Top notes: juniperberry, tangerine, blackcurrant, green leafy notes and earthy notes.
Heart notes: thyme, lily, jasmine, ylang ylang, ginger, cumin, black pepper and mimosa.
Base notes: patchouli, vetiver, moss, salt, frankincense, atlas cedar and amber.

Imagine you are in a cemetery on a rainy day and suddenly a threshing machine, one of those used in the fields, appears and starts to destroy everything… The flowers on the tombs, the earth freshly dampened by the rain, the weeds growing wild on the ground… The smell that would remain afterwards, this is what Fathom V smells like.
It is the smell of sadness, melancholy and loneliness… If Edgar Allan Poe had created a perfume in his lifetime, I am sure it would be very much like Fathom V.

What about Fathom V? As you rightly say, three words are enough.
Enjoy it.
