FLORAL OLFACTORY FAMILY
There are different distillation methods to obtain natural essences, but the floral family delayed its birth until the beginning of the 20th century. It was the launch in 1906 of L’Origan, the first perfume that contained in its composition a combination of flowers based on its notes. The research of the time helped to discover and synthesize molecules, which were responsible for the olfactory facets of the extracts of natural essences.
There are several subgroups for this family which are Oriental Floral, Aldehyde Floral, Spicy Floral, Green Floral, White Floral, Watery Floral and Fruity Floral. The latter, often mistakenly called Gourmand.
A simple description for this family would be to imagine a bouquet of natural flowers, smell it and discover that wonderful smell. Well, in the floral olfactory family, something very similar is found.
