Cristian Cavagna is the founder of ADJIUMI, a well-known Italian group for perfume lovers.
DOLCE Q.B. was created to celebrate the 15th anniversary of ADJIUMI, the group of Italian perfume lovers founded by Cristian Cavagna.
It is not an ordinary vanilla, understood as vanillin or cake, but a vanilla pod that has literally sunk, drowned and swallowed by the magma of birch tar.
The main ingredients are to be found in Nana, a novel by Émile Zola, the 19th century French author, father of the naturalist movement and its greatest exponent. The following fragment tells very well the impregnation of DOLCE Q.B. with the novel. Which is the source of his inspiration.
“All the shops were known to him, he knew the individual smells, in the air saturated with gas: the intense scents of Russian leather, the vanilla aroma coming from the underground of a chocolate workshop, the musky scents that came out of the open doors of the perfumeries.”
The perfume is a unisex oriental vanilla, studied from a completely new perspective, which treads unknown paths and transforms the current codes of modern artistic perfumery, with a new interpretation of oriental perfumery, creating a soft but at the same time very toasty and spicy vanilla, as it is literally enveloped in birch tar, incense and cinnamon that make it irresistible.
An absolutely persistent and unisex fragrance, never overly sugary.
Top notes: currant, pink pepper, cinnamon and strawberry.
Heart notes: iris and jasmine.
Base notes: Madagascar vanilla absolute, vanilla (CO² extracted), vanilla beans, gurjun balsam, birch tar, Madagascar vetiver, leather, nagarmotha, Sumatran patchouli, ambergris and musk.
