Daniel Josier, born as a brand in 2014, by the hand of its namesake author Daniel Josier. The names of his creations may make us think of classic fragrances, nothing could be further from the truth, they are creative, modern, but without stridency and adapt to our skin in a perfect symbiosis.
Welcome to the new collection from master perfumer Daniel Josier. April 3rd is his first creation for Signature.
The first perfume in the Signature line is April 3rd, dedicated to a woman who was born on the 3rd of April and died on the 3rd of April. Born in Seville, and with her Andalusian character, it was inevitable that the perfume would bring the joy of the sun-drenched Andalusian lands.
With a cheerful and fresh top note of orange blossom and bitter orange from Seville, it will be the prelude to a magnificent and very intense floral combo. Powerful and in tune notes, we will find in the heart of the perfume a precious floral bouquet with narcissus, rose, orchid, ylang ylang, muguet and jasmine. Almost nothing.
And to close this perfect bouquet, darkness.
A darkness of the feeling of loss, grief and nostalgia will be interpreted by the woody and evocative tones of patchouli and the energy and vigour of oud and civet.
An undeniably wild background, but with the initial joy and the floral combo, it will close the circle in an unbeatable way.
A date sadly marked in Daniel’s mind, as this perfume is dedicated to his mother. Coincidences happen, and the April 3rd had to be marked in the family’s memory in the worst way.
Top notes: orange blossom, orange and lime.
Heart notes: hyacinth, orchid, ylang ylang, jasmine and rose.
Base notes: civet, patchouli, oud and sandalwood.

The packaging and bottle design are beautiful with a balanced combination of dark red and gold.
The scent itself is fresh, cheerful and elegant. I would describe a fruity chypre fragrance. It will suit both young and older ladies. The aroma is good for spring/summer. You can use it during the day.
Conclusion: The fragrance occupies a place in my collection among Green Leather
by D.J. and Green Lover by Lolita Lempicka Parfums.

It is an exceptional tribute to a mother. We put our hand in the fire, affirming that in this perfume, Daniel has poured all his creativity and personal exigency.
It is a very complex and beautiful fragrance. It has it all, gentleness for the flowers, tenacity for the woods, robustness and hardness for the less pleasant notes such as civet and oud.
But in this creation he did not want any of them to be the protagonist, but rather an amalgam of notes that generate a fragrance.
Exceptional.
